I first started doing CrossFit in a Planet Fitness about seven years ago after seeing one of the CrossFit Games competitions online. I didn't know anyone who did it at the time and didn't know of any gyms in the area. I followed Main site [programming], watched tons of videos and did the workouts at the gym with whatever equipment and space I could find.
After doing that for a few years on and off, I met Tiff and after going to my first real CrossFit class with her, I was hooked. The rest, as they say, is history.
Growing up, I played sports all the time. I tried everything: soccer, basketball, baseball, football, golf and even speed skating at one point. I never understood how people stopped being active. A few years post high school, the opportunity for physical activity and competition seemed to slowly disappear. I always told myself I would not become an inactive, sedentary person. CrossFit helps me live up to that promise I made to myself. I get to stay active, competitive and constantly learn new skills. It keeps me sane and gives me something to look forward to. And last but not least ,I have met some of my favorite people through CrossFit. Nothing brings you together like a tough workout.
When not at CrossFit, my favorite thing to do is hang out with my wife Tiffany, our son Mason and our dog Kiya. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, grilling, playing backyard games and going golfing whenever possible.
